ASD elementary schools are eligible to participate in the Fresh Fruits & Vegetables Program (FFVP) through the Shelby County Schools (SCS) or Metro Nashville Public Schools (MNPS) nutrition departments, if they are serving as the School Food Authority (SFA) and participating in the USDA grant program.
Only elementary schools are eligible for the FFVP, which, according to Tenn. Code Ann. § 49-6-301 (2015), "'elementary schools' are schools serving any combination of kindergarten through grade six (K-6)".
Therefore, any school serving grades outside of K-6 would not be eligible to participate in the Fresh Fruits & Vegetables Program.
